Getting Started
We have summarised a history of practice systems and the future of technology within the Veterinary Market which will outline why we have invested in the Veterinary Integration Platform.
Historically Veterinary Practices have required small-scale multi-purpose applications which covered their practices needs during a time when a veterinary business was small, a few physical locations or travelling practitioners.
These systems are Practice Management Systems (PMS) and typically would cover all CRM, PIM, IM, OM and Clinical records. As the pace of technology moves ever quicker; specialist services or applications can provide operating efficency for veterinary practices, however when manual work is required to link or share data between both systems the efficency and other benefits can be lost.
Point-to-point integrations were a good start in a smaller market, however over the years more services, products and integration opportunities are available which also means developing for every integration is not efficent in a growing and ever increasingly competitive market to provide the best patient care in practice.
To make sure MWI are ready for the future needs of our customers and provide speed to market, we are investing in the architecture and capability of integration on many levels of the system stack.
As-is today in this documentation you will find information on the in-development API, however we will be continuing to expand the integration opportunities past just data exchange. More details will follow in the future, and we are happy to discuss potential with existing and new partners.
